Love Blackout
IS AVAILABE ON KU

She’s got a plan. He doesn’t fit into it.

Natalie Bennett is an expert problem solver. As the publicist for her pop-star sister, she’s no stranger to handling even the most tenuous circumstances. She craves control and she’ll be damned if you catch her making a mistake. When a PR crisis breaks out weeks before the biggest tour of her sister’s career kicks off, Natalie has no room for error.

Things get complicated when Natalie’s team hires additional security and Jake Alder enters the picture. He’s broody and intimidating, and it turns out, he’s also her bodyguard for the tour. Despite trying to ignore his existence, Jake’s creeping into Natalie’s life and this new complication was definitely not part of her plan.

He’s on the run from his past. She’s going to make him face it head on.

Jake Alder has exactly one rule in his life: no connections, ever. Not to a job, not to a place, and definitely not to another person. Scarred by the mistakes of his past, Jake’s career as contract security keeps him on the road and away from home, too busy to form attachments that might lead him to get hurt again. His new contract with a high-profile tour is nothing out of the ordinary, just another in a long list of assignments that he’ll walk away from when it’s all said and done, no reason to look back.

But he didn’t count on Natalie Bennett—controlling, uptight, and now his sole responsibility. He can’t avoid her and it turns out, he doesn’t want to.

When they’re thrown together, the chemistry between them becomes undeniable. Before they know it, they’re sneaking around behind the scenes and hiding from everyone. Late nights are the new norm and things are starting to feel more than temporary. The threat of getting caught with his client is the least of Jake’s problems though when his day job crosses the wrong path and he ends up right in the middle of a scandal big enough to bring his world crashing down.
