Well that’s a definite improvement over September. 🤪 Originally I wanted to be done with my draft by 10/31, but it was an arbitrary deadline I made and I’m trying to tell myself it really doesn’t matter.

What DOES matter is that I have about 14 chapters I really love done and ready for edits. Just gotta get the rest of these cleaned up so my alphas can have at them. Baby steps. 😂 I only have like, 6 actual chapters left to write. The rest is some intense reworking because I write like a chaos dragon and there’s just pile of treasure everywhere… nothing is put together. 😂🤣

I’d call it more Eras Tour Inspired, here’s why:

The Tinted Truths series is me getting the chance to bring two years of curiosity to life. Like every other Swiftie out there, I have spent nearly every weekend for the last couple of years squinting at grainy livestreams, watching the Eras Tour unfold through IG lives and TTs. And during that time, I have wondered over and over again what life on tour is like. The logistics, the relationships, the stress, the adventure... I wanted to know all of it.

So I decided to write it! I’ve spent hours watching tour documentaries and YouTube videos on everything from how trucks are loaded to what it’s like for band members to go on the road. And it hasn’t just been Eras Tour focused: I’ve watched deep dives on Beyonce, Billie, P!nk, U2, and about half a dozen other bands and artists. It has been the most fun - and having the opportunity to weave a story into this information has been even more exciting for me.

While I am a huge Swiftie, I actually do not want to write a book packed full of TS easter eggs and song lyrics. I think those kinds of books are super fun, but it’s not what I had in mind for my series.

So, yes, the series is centered on a popstar out on tour, but it’s not Taylor. This is not another singer/football player romance. It’s a four book story of nine different individuals spending six-months on a cross country tour - and falling in love along the way. ❤
